Many people are killed every year in traffic accidents. To improve the safety of vehicle passengers, crash tests with dummies have been carried out for decades. These crash test dummies are getting increasingly virtual support through digital human models.

The new automotive CAECompanion 2019/2020 provides comprehensive information on our conferences and seminars in CAE and related areas. In addition, over 50 pages of CAE knowledge provide valuable information on the theory and application of numerical simulation in CAE-based vehicle development.

In October 2018 the automotive Human Modeling Community gathered in Berlin, Germany for the 7th biennial International Symposium "Human Modeling and Simulation in Automotive Engineering?. In 6 sessions covering topics from injury assessment to active human models, international experts reported in 36 presentations on the latest progress in research and application of digital human models in automotive engineering.
