Automotive Solution Center for Simulation e. V.
The asc(s – Automotive Solution Center for Simulation e. V. – is a non-profit association promoting the research and implementation of innovative simulation methods in the virtual vehicle development process. Since 2008, we have been networking leading players from industry and science. To this end, we bundle the interests and needs of our members in the pre-competitive field. Our current group of about 50 members includes automotive manufacturers and suppliers, software and hardware vendors, engineering service providers and research facilities. Our members are on a par with each other, irrespective of borders, and use their expertise to actively shape the topics of the asc(s as an open association. These topics include various research segments for industrial applications that define the future of mobility: Autonomous Driving, E-mobility, Lightweight Design, HPC, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twins. In order to advance these R&D areas and to set new impulses, the asc(s brings together suitable project partners. Networking generates a wide range of synergy effects as a result of the different competences of our members. Learn more on our website and benefit from the advantages of a membership in our association: https://www.asc-s.de/ |

GNS - Gesellschaft für Numerische Simulation mbH
GNS – Gesellschaft für Numerische Simulation mbH was founded in Germany in 1994 by a group of engineering analysis experts. Originally dedicated to offering services for the automotive industry in the fields of crash analysis and forming simulation, GNS is now a competent partner in a wide range of engineering analysis applications.
With its team of more than 150 engineering analysis experts, GNS provides numerical analysis for a wide variety of engineering problems using state-of-the-art finite element and boundary element codes. In addition, GNS develops customized software tools to optimize virtual development processes and advises companies on how to efficiently and cost-effectively integrate numerical analysis into their design process.
Furthermore, GNS is engaged in the development of constitutive models and numerical
algorithms for advanced engineering materials, such as composites, foams or honeycomb structures. GNS develops and supports a number of advanced commercial software products such as Animator4, Generator4 and OpenForm, each tailored to meet the needs of its most demanding clients and the industry’s toughest engineering problems.
GNS software products are developed by engineering analysts and software specialists with a deep insight into the requirements of numerical simulation and years of practical experience in solving sophisticated engineering problems. All software products are continuously tested by the company’s own engineers within consulting and development projects. This guarantees maximum performance, functionality, practicality and robustness of the software. |

SIDACT GmbH
Simulation Data Analysis and Compression Technologies
“Big-data” and “numerical simulation results” are the major focal points for SIDACT’s scientific research, development and distribution of applications. In particular, SIDACT concentrates on
• compressing numerical simulation results for improved usability and
• using advanced math for the analysis of such results for new and enhanced insights.
SIDACT develops, maintains and distributes the following licensed products:
• FEMZIP – Compression of Crash, Structural Analysis, and CFD simulation results by a factor of 10.
• DIFFCRASH – Analysis of instabilities in crash simulation results.
• FemAlyst – AI on simulation results. Automatic event detection based on unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
SIDACT also offers
• Service, support and training for FEMZIP and DIFFCRASH installations and
• Implementation of compression and math analysis modules for current and also other application areas.
Customers of SIDACT include all German automotive companies, two of the three US car manufactures and many of the major European and Asian companies as well as their suppliers and consultants.
SIDACT is a spin-off of Fraunhofer based in Germany founded in August 2012. SIDACT markets, supports and further develops FEMZIP and DIFFCRASH since January 1st, 2013. FEMZIP and DIFFCRASH were developed by members of the Numerical Software department of the Fraunhofer Institute SCAI since 2002. This work was partly funded by the German Ministry for Research and Technology (BMBF) and the European Commission as part of the SIMDAT, AUTOBENCH and AUTO-OPT projects. The copyright for the software versions until 2012 is still owned by Fraunhofer. Six patents are exclusively licensed by SIDACT from Fraunhofer for engineering applications protecting the kernel technologies of its products. Six scientists from Fraunhofer joined SIDACT and work for support and further developments of the SIDACT products.
We like to use advanced math in software products or tailored applications to improve the usability of numerical simulations and gaining further insights from vast amount of numerical simulation results.
Today’s customers of SIDACT are car manufactures from Europe, US, India, China, South Korea and Japan. SIDACT products are supported by local distributors in all of these regions.
In 2016 Sidact GmbH was awarded with the seal of approval „Innovative through research” by the Stifterverband für Deutsche Wissenschaft. |
