The award, which honors innovations in automotive lightweight construction, is organized in partnership with the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and will be presented at the 2017 CAR Management Briefing Seminar (MBS) in Traverse City, Michigan, held 31st of July to 3rd of August. This year, a new category has been introduced to highlight the technologies that enable lightweight construction and innovation for both full-body and modular vehicles. This includes materials, processes and interconnection technologies. The jury is composed of international experts from the automotive industry and is represented by Dr. Jay Baron, President and CEO of CAR and Director of the CARs Coalition for Automotive Lightweighting Material (CALM).
