ORECA optimizes racecar design with ANSYS simulation technology
CAE News |
![]() | ORECA will take advantage of ANSYS' high-performance computing (HPC) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software for aerodynamic testing. ANSYS' CFD software will enable ORECA to simulate air flows around, in and through its car under a range of conditions, including transient simulations where conditions changing over time are modeled. The combination of HPC and CFD tools harness the power of thousands of computers, enabling engineers to quickly go through many design iterations and make necessary changes before physical testing. "Reliability and accuracy are crucial when it comes to developing successful cars," said David Floury, Technical Director of ORECA. "ANSYS is a key player in the motorsport industry and their solutions provide our engineers with the necessary tools to evaluate and optimize a range of product design ideas across varied operating conditions, leading to enhanced product performance and integrity and ultimately winning championships. We are already working with ANSYS solutions for our future new car, the ORECA 07." More Information: ansys.com/news |
