The basic processes that guarantee a traceable data flow and at the same time ensure the requirements for the protection of confidential data, thus enabling acceptance of the simulation results for certification, homologation or NCAP assessment are discussed. The validation of models and simulation tools for virtual assessments will also be discussed. Virtual test methods are already available for ATDs and have proven their worth. On April 8 - 9 carhs.training will host the 
Vehicle type approval based on virtual test procedures has been possible for some time for a limited number of specific regulations in automotive safety. However, there have been very few real applications so far. Currently the increasing demands of consumer protection organizations are leading to a noticeable acceleration in the development and acceptance of procedures for virtual testing as an alternative or supplement to physical testing. There are also corresponding efforts by legislators to implement virtual test procedures in new regulations for the assessment of vehicle safety. The trainer Andre Eggers has been a research associate at the German Federal Highway Research Institute since 2006 and works in the fields of biomechanics, evaluation of dummies, human models and virtual testing. 
SAFER partners are now launching an exciting new project: Safe and Comfortable Seat Belts for All. Through collaboration between Volvo Cars, Autoliv, and Chalmers, the project aims to generate new knowledge on how seat belts can be better adapted to a diverse range of passengers and seating postures a crucial step toward safer and more inclusive mobility.
Pedestrian and cyclist deaths (about 300,000 worldwide) account for more than a quarter of all road traffic fatalities, a figure exacerbated by rapid urbanization and population growth. Crash tests are among the most complex tests on the way to series production of a new vehicle. Simulated crash tests are essential in terms of resource and cost efficiency - but can the results of such a simulation really be trusted? This is exactly what the Technical Service of TÜV Thüringen examined and accompanied the validation of a crash test computer simulation with a truck cabine from ENGINIUS.
