 Crash Avoidance Systems struggle in new IIHS TestThe Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is updating its vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention test to address crashes that occur at higher speeds and those in which the struck vehicle is a motorcycle or large truck. Euro NCAP officially announces a major milestone in the development towards a Truck Safe rating scheme. This is in direct response to data showing that while trucks represent only 3 % of vehicles on Europe's roads they are involved in almost 15 % of all EU road fatalities. At NCAP24, in front of an audience of international road safety experts and industry, Euro NCAP showcases what elements the organisation is currently considering as part of a future Truck Safe rating and how it intends to evaluate and benchmark truck performance.
The Honda Amaze is rated two stars for adult and zero stars for child occupant safety. The Kia Carens originally scored zero stars for adult protection and after improvements from the manufacturer and a retest, achieved three stars in adult safety and five stars for child occupants. The Mahindra Bolero Neo scored only one star for both adult and child occupant safety.
TrackReport, ORME's post processing and reporting software, is the official tool of BHARAT NCAP used by Central Institute of Road Transport - CIRT to analyze their crash test data.
