U.S. Senator Deb Fischer introduced legislation to improve passenger vehicle safety by requiring the use of the most advanced testing devices available - including a THOR-5F female crash test dummy. The She Develops Regulations In Vehicle Equality and Safety (She DRIVES) Act would enhance passenger vehicle safety by updating U.S. crashworthiness testing procedures.
Every year, children are left unattended in parked cars and lose their lives to heat stroke. Child Presence Detection (CPD) systems are designed to prevent just that. CPD systems use various sensors to detect the presence of a child in the vehicle and inform and warn the driver if a child is left in the vehicle.
CARIAD Group intends to acquire 24.5 % of shares in VAIVA GmbH, an automotive active safety expert, from ANDATA, which is one of the leading artificial intelligence companies in the automotive software space. CARIAD Group and ANDATA have signed a share purchase agreement to that effect, completion of which remains subject to approval by antitrust authorities.
The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) has coordinated a 
VI-grade announced a strategic partnership with Mcity, the University of Michigan's renowned hub for advanced mobility research. This partnership marks a significant step forward in advancing automotive research capabilities through the use of VI-grade's cutting-edge simulator technology.
Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and the global mobility technology company AVL are joining forces in battery development. The policy, which establishes procurement criteria for Commonwealth Government fleet vehicles, requires vehicles to hold a five-star ANCAP safety rating and a datestamp within three years.
