Euro NCAP publishes new ResultsEuro NCAP announces the results of several highly anticipated cars. These include the best-selling Volkswagen Tiguan, two people carriers - the Maxus MIFA 7 and the Ford Tourneo Custom - and two car models from new brand ZEEKR, the 001 and the X. In this release, Euro NCAP also announce the 5-star Green NCAP performance of the two ZEEKRs.

Access to national Crash Data will help strengthen Vehicle SafetyThe Australian Government has committed an investment of AUD 21 million for improvements to its National Road Safety Data Hub which will consolidate road safety data from states and territories. In addition, the Australian Government plans to incorporate a provision in its road funding agreements with states and territories to create a requirement for the provision of a nationally-consistent road safety data set.

Their wishes call for a complete redesign of the vehicle interior, with comfortable driving characteristics to match, and this presents manufacturers and suppliers with new challenges. These are the findings of a research project led by Bosch. Called RUMBA, it looked into what people expect from automated vehicles - in terms of both interiors and driving behavior.

Explosion of E-commerce calls for Safety Features that deliverEquipping the light vans that fulfill America's online orders with four safety features could prevent or mitigate close to 4 out of 10 fatal crashes involving such vehicles, a new study from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety shows. Using federal crash data from 2016 to 2021, IIHS researchers estimated that equipping every light van on the road with front crash prevention, lane departure prevention, blind spot detection and ISA could address 26 % of all police-reported crashes, 22 % of injury crashes and 37 % of fatal crashes involving such vehicles.
