Euro NCAP continues to tighten its requirements with new protocols aimed at improving occupant safety and reducing the risks associated with human behaviour. Renesas Electronics Corporation expanded its popular R-Car Family of system-on-chips (SoCs) for entry-level Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The new devices, the R-Car V4M series and the expansion of the existing R-Car V4H series, deliver robust AI processing capability and fast CPU performance, while carefully balancing performance and power consumption.

Hyundai Mobis has unveiled 65 mobility technologies slated for commercialization within the next two to three years. This milestone achievement results from concentrating this year's record-high R&D investment of approximately 1.7 trillion KRW on electrification and electronics. The New Car Assessment Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean, Latin NCAP, publishes the fifth crash tests results for 2024 with a long awaited five star result for the Mitsubishi L200 / Triton. The Mitsubishi L200 / Triton, produced in Thailand, offers 7 airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard and optional ADAS.
With the launch of the first generation of the EVIYOS multipixel LED for ADB and projection headlamps in 2023, ams OSRAM gave drivers a new way of experiencing the road at night. The EVIYOS was first implemented by Volkswagen in its Touareg and Tiguan models equipped with headlamps manufactured by Marelli, each of which featuring 19,200 pixels, whereas the EVIYOS light source itself can provide up to 25,600 individually controllable pixels.

The innovative "5GoIng" research project on using 5G technology in mobility has been completed. Since December 2021, science, business, and administration have been working together to develop an open platform for networked mobility solutions in Ingolstadt.
